SEGGAU CASTLE is not only an international congress- and convention centre, but also an episcopal vineyard whose origins date back to the baroque.
The 300 year old wine cellar, with its venerable wooden barrels, is one of Styria’s largest (72 m long, 8,5 m high) and oldest, and is the ideal setting for our programme "In Vino Veritas."
Our cellar master will present you with our vineyard’s best vintages — from our excellent Sauvignon Blanc to our noble Communion wine — giving our visitors an insight into the secrets of viticulture.
In addition to our select fruit brandies (Edelbrand), our wine cellar also offers typical wine-related products and Styrian specialties.
Our wine cellar, which is over 300 years old, is accessible to the public during normal opening hours — except while tours are being given and during other special events.
